Novena to St. Joseph to Begin March 10

10th March 2021

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

In his new apostolic letter “Patris Corde” (“with a Father’s Heart”) the Holy Father Francis has proclaimed a “Year of Saint Joseph” from 8th December 2020 to 8th December 2021.

To mark the occasion the Diocese of Kingstown will begin by celebrating the Solemnity of St. Joseph, husband of Mary with the following activities:-

• All are invited to make a private novena by using the 9 days novena prayer that would be displayed daily on the diocesan website and on Facebook. The novena begins today March 10th.

• On the 16th, 17th and 18th March 2021 Fr. Alando, Fr. Collin and Deacon Emmanuel would hold brief reflections on St. Joseph. These reflections can be followed on the Diocesan website and on Facebook.

• On the 19th March 2021, the Solemnity of St. Joseph – Mass would be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Assumption at 5.00 p.m. to which all are invited.

I ask you kindly to inform and encourage parishioners to participate in the activities mentioned above. I look forward to celebrating with you at the Mass on Friday 19th March.

May St. Joseph husband of Mary and Guardian of the Child Jesus pray for us.

Yours in Christ,

+Gerard County,
Bishop of Kingstown
