2021 Eruption of La Soufrière Volcano

The Diocese of Kingstown, in its response to the current crisis in St. Vincent and the Grenadines following the explosive eruption of the La Soufrière volcano on April 9, 2021, has launched various initiatives to aid in the relief for those persons who are most affected.

Caritas SVG is responsible for spearheading the relief efforts in the Diocese. CARITAS is an international Church organization that ‘responds to disasters, promotes integral human development and advocates on the causes of poverty and conflict.’

An account designated towards disaster relief has been established in the Diocese. Persons wishing to contribute to the fund can now make deposits to:
