The Diocese of Kingstown, in its response to the current crisis in St. Vincent and the Grenadines following the explosive eruption of the La Soufrière volcano on April 9, 2021, has launched various initiatives to aid in the relief for those persons who are most affected.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
A disaster fund has been established for monetary contributions.
Direct deposits or transfers can be sent to:
BOSVG Account #801414 – The Roman Catholic Bishop of Kingstown – Disaster Fund
WHAT YOU CAN DONATE
Many shelters and private homes need mattresses, bed linens, clothes especially for men and boys, toys and other such items for children, wheelchairs, and children’s diapers. Food items as well as water are also required. Donations are being collected at the Cathedral. You can also indicate to have it collected.
You can also give of your time and talent by volunteering at a shelter to cook, clean, organize games and entertainment for the youth and the children or to simply lend a listening ear to those who may need it.
