Monsignor George Bardowell, affectionately known as “Fr. George” will celebrate his 90th birthday on Tuesday, October 1. Monsignor George, who was born in Jamaica, has been a long serving priest in the diocese for over two decades. He has given sterling service to the Catholic Church, and even as his health declines, he continues to minister to God’s people in various ways as he is able.
To mark this momentous occasion there will be a Mass at the Cathedral of the Assumption on Friday, October 4 followed by a reception on North River Road. All are invited to celebrate with Fr. George as we wish him many more years of priestly presence and God’s continued blessings.
