Monsignor Michael Stewart, parish priest, and the parishioners of St John the Evangelist Parish are pleased to report that the 100th Anniversary PRAYER BREAKFAST FOR MEN on Saturday February 18th 2023 was a resounding success. In the words of Monsignor Michael Stewart “Glory to God for a wonderful “Prayer Breakfast” morning. Mr. Calvert Huggins spoke from the heart about Biblical faith, and how faith in God has helped him battle colon cancer. He is convinced that “when sleeping men awake, mountains will move.” We believe that God is raising up an army of men to stand on the ground of faith against the enemy, who is attacking our families and marriages, our children and youth, our men and male leadership, in the home and in social life in general. God is building an army, and the time has come to be enlisted. Now is the opportune moment; this is the day of salvation- the time to join the army of the Lord. Shalom.”
Thank you to all who prayed; all who attended, to our Caterer Mrs Patres Samuel for a well presented and delicious breakfast, to Mr Enrico De Shong, our Photographer. Special thanks to the Featured Speaker, Mr Calvert Huggins, who made a wonderful presentation, and to all members of the Media who always carry our stories, news releases, announcements, and help us get the word out. Thank you to everyone who made this event a memorable one. God has added His blessings to our efforts. Monsignor Mike will keep in touch with the attendees, and work towards a follow up event in the near future.
