My Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We are all aware of the sufferings of some of the people of Haiti especially those living in the South Western part of the country who were hit by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake and also by tropical storm Grace. Daily we see images of the devastation caused by these two natural disasters. As a community we would like to assist. I have therefore consulted with the parish priests and we have decided to give our entire collection of Sunday 29th August 2021 to the people of Haiti. For us this act of solidarity and sacrifice is necessary because in our time of need recently with the eruption of La Soufriere people from the Caribbean and worldwide came to our assistance.
Other persons desirous of donating to this cause can send your donations to the Chancery at the R.C. Pastoral Center, Edinboro. Cheques can be made payable to the R.C. Bishop of Kingstown.
