My Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Brother Gerard and I are pleased to announce that a fellow Redemptorist will soon be joining our community and the parish staff. He is Brother Augustus John Riviere, C.Ss.R, known as Brother John. He comes to us having just finished his studies in theology and pastoral preparation for ministry. During his time in Redemptorist formation, he has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theological Studies with a minor in Philosophy as well as a Master of Arts degree in Theology and one in Theological Studies.
Brother John was born and raised in the Commonwealth of Dominica. His faith formation was received in the parish of Our Lady of Fatima, Newtown where he was an active parishioner before joining the Redemptorist community. His career background is in education, having taught at the secondary level. He is well prepared to offer his gifts and talents to the parish and broader community, and he looks forward to joining us. We expect his arrival in mid-September. A warm welcome to Brother John!
